But wait, we need to answer another question—how many pairs do we have? Simple mathematics comes to the rescue! Since we have 100 odd numbers, we can divide that by 2 to find the number of pairs. Now, fold this rope by joining both ends together. Notice that 1 is paired with 100, 2 with 99, 3 with 98, and so on. Even in the middle, you find 50 paired with 51.
